In terms of technology, Gordon considers himself a "Renaissance Man", being an expert in both user experience and backend infrastructure.
Prior to ComponentLab, Gordon was working at Microsoft on SQL Server in the data replication group.
WESLEY HATHER:
Wes dabbles in all areas of software development but enjoys focusing on the front-end. Usability and design is his speciality.
Prior to ComponentLab, Wes was a game developer at Flying Lab Software working on Pirates of the Burning Sea.

Team Apart (formerly MeetCast) is super simple online conferencing and team collaboration. Gordon and I founded Team Apart at the very end of the Y-Combinator Summer 2008 session. We had a great Demo Day presentation and raised a small Angel round in October 2008.

It's always been a huge pain to determine quickly and reliably whether a specific trademark has been registered or not. We built Nicemark to solve this problem and to allow for instant trademark search. Inspired by Instant Domain Search, Nicemark finds results as you type and displays them in a super clean and intuitive way.

You And Me Chat was what we worked on for the majority of our Y-Combinator Summer 2008 session. It was a real-time online speed dating application (using your webcam and microphone) similar to SpeedDate and WooMe but built for Facebook. We stopped working on You And Me Chat to pursue Team Apart.

Poll Everywhere is the easiest way to gather live responses at any venue: conferences, presentations, classrooms, radio, tv, print -- anywhere. We've been helping them on several projects including revamping and redesigning the Free Text Poll as well as the Multiple Choice Poll.

SuperJam is a rhythm guitar game that you can play with your keyboard. It has hundreds of songs to play and tons of guitars and clothes to collect. We helped port the Jam Legend application to the Facebook platform and designed and implemented a significant portion of SuperJam.
